Mauve on green, dewy things
Droop lusciously, on summers eve,
Soft as butterfly's wing,
Gossamer in the gloaming
Softly raining on lilac
Softly paining in heartache
Froth, frilly scalloped foam,
Dewy, dripping, soaking, dollops
Of mauve, moths' wings
Delicate things
Brings back heart hurt
Like lilacs rained on.
